SITLOSOPHY® supports SOUX milan, the school of architecture for children
SITLOSOPHY® will be present with its products at Milan Design Week to support Costruire con la Luce, a workshop, organised with Velux, of SOUX milano – Scuola di Architettura per bambini e bambine.
The workshop, by invitation only, will be held on Saturday 22 April at C.A.M. in Corso Garibaldi 27, as part of the official circuit of Milano Design Week, where the children of SOUx milano together with the children of Laboratorio Molise Calvairate will be the protagonists of a journey to imagine the city in which they dream of living and experience light and natural ventilation.
SOU is a project that was born in Favara, in the province of Agrigento, within the Farm Cultural Park, one of the most interesting independent centres in the contemporary cultural world, with the aim of creating a place where words such as respect, education and beauty could find space. Thanks to architect and designer Mario Cucinella and architect Caterina Malinconico, director of the school, SOUx milano was opened in January, in collaboration with the Consorzio Rilegno.
From 9 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., children will have the opportunity to discover and measure how important light is for them and what space it should have in their lives and homes. During the workshop, cardboard models will be built and subjected to irradiation by an “artificial sky”, so as to simulate the sun’s arc and understand how openings become the gateways through which to draw vital energy.
